The AFL Masters motto is “Footy for Fun”
AFL Masters is for men aged 35 and over and provides the opportunity for them to enjoy a game of footy followed by a bbq and a beer. The fortnightly games are played in a social environment with modified rules to ensure fun and safety of players – everyone has to go to work Monday! The games are a great family environment, what would get your kids out running around more than seeing Dad (or Grandpa!) running around on the footy field? It’s a great example to be setting!
Training is at our home ground at Kalbar on Tuesdays from 5.30pm. Anyone who is interested is invited and welcome to turn up, meet the team and join in. Training is generally followed by rehydration at the nearest watering hole.
No previous Aussie Rules skills are required, but you must be able to have some fun! Everyone is welcome.
Our Masters fees for 2017 have been set at $150 per player, which includes registration, insurance, playing jersey and umpire fees. To register, simply click here and follow the form. Fee payment can be made by bank deposit, our account details are on the Payments page.
Each year, every player registered in an AFL Masters team is eligible to nominate themselves for the Queensland National Carnival side. In 2017 the National Carnival will be held at the Geelong close in time to the AFL Grand Final week.
